Sometimes it becomes a confusing task to decide on creams, especially moisturizers that contain Hyaluronic Acid. This is the reason I always prefer to read reviews before buying anything. I hope this blog will help you and give you some idea if it is worth buying a product.
So let’s jump into it.
I remember, six months ago I was looking for a moisturizing cream that will get along with my acne-medicated cream routine. So, again after reading good reviews on Sephora, I decided to splurge on it.
This brand advertises it with the caption “Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Moisturizer”. And indeed it smells like a bouquet full of roses and for people who really love to inhale the rosy fragrance, it will be their holy grail cream. That being said, it is not very long-lasting so people who do not appreciate it can also buy it.
Nowadays, “Hyaluronic Acid” is the highly emphasized word being used by the skincare industry, and even reading it on the label seems quite appealing.
As mentioned by cosmedica skincare, “Hyaluronic acid is truly an ingredient that gives benefits to twenty and eighty-year-old skin. Hyaluronic Acid helps reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles retaining moisture to the skin, creating a plumping effect. When the skin is protected and hydrated, increased skin cell production can take place, as the skin isn’t busy fighting for hydration. This leads to smoother, plumper skin cells” (n.d., para. 20).
Now, what do I think about it?
Frankly speaking, for about 2 years I had been using Clinique moisturizer. But I really wanted to change it as it was making my skin oily. Sometimes, our skin needs something different than what we expect.
As stated earlier, after using Clinique moisturizer for a very long time, accepting this new addition into the routine skincare regimen I was a bit hesitant. The “fresh Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Moisturizer” is quite thicker than other cream base or gel base formulas. Of course, gel base creams are very light and quick absorbing. So if I talk about this, it is not a very fast absorbing cream. However, you will need a very little amount to hydrate the skin. The formula is thicker and it will take a time to blend in so do not expect a featherweight feel (in my opinion).
As long as its performance is concerned, I am glad that it never made my acne worst or irritated my skin. It’s indeed a very hydrating formula that has the ability to quench the thirst of dry skin. Being said that, I am lately experiencing dryness as winter is getting at its peak here in Texas. Since my skin type is Normal in winter and the combination type in Summer. Hence, sometimes, I need to apply it 3 times but not every day. Otherwise “Hyaluronic Acid” serves its purpose being a main ingredient in the cream. It offers soft and supple skin, and better hydration by locking it to create a barrier. This part is really fascinating. I have never experienced any moisturizing cream like this that provides good strength and locks the skin to retain hydration as it is.
Overall its performance is top-notch, it works best under makeup, even in hot summer. A portion of great hydrating food for dry skin as well as the best companion for dull skin.
I use it in the morning and at night, (but sometimes in the afternoon in the winter season). Usually, First I use my Lancome serum, Curology acne treatment, and then moisturizer. Every morning I see great skin that is actually plumped with hydration. Indeed fascinating!
It is without parabens.
What I don’t like about it?
In my opinion, the recipe of cream is more on a thicker side. Being said that, in summer I feel a little bit of extra oiliness. The exact opposite, in winter I feel dryness. I genuinely think the formula should be lightweight by thinning it to make an easily blendable cream, Viz. IT cosmetics moisturizer confidence in cream, just to compare if that makes sense.
My Recommendations:
Yeah! it is quite pricey. You get 1.6 oz/ 50 mL of jar for $45 (USD). But I would suggest always keeping your eyes open for discounts. There are high chances you will hit the jackpot in the new year.
Yes, I will recommend this product, especially to those who have dry skin. It is the best option and on top, it does not cause acne. So yes you can embrace it with all the love.
Thank you so much for reading it. See you with some new other posts and reviews.
Namaste.
