La Roche-Posay Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF 60, Oil Free Face Sunscreen

The tug of war between the right SPF, especially for acne-prone skin makes it very difficult to choose the right one.

I have found my savior SPF ‘La Roche-Posay Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF 60’ and just can’t wait to share my experience after using this holy sunscreen. So, let’s see why I am obsessed with this oil-free sunscreen and why I think it’s No.1 for me.

Before I start you can read my other blog SPF with or without Oxybenzone? Which one is safer and better?

The company describes La Roche-Posay Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF 60. This oil-free sunscreen provides advanced protection while absorbing pore-clogging oil, even in heat and humidity. Our best sunscreen for acne-prone skin is formulated with Cell-Ox Shield® technology: broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection with antioxidants.

Also, the company claims it is –

  • Non-comedogenic sunscreen for oily skin provides broad-spectrum SPF 60 protection
  • Oil-free sunscreen for acne-prone skin helps absorb excess oil, reduce shine, and won’t cause breakouts
  • A powerful antioxidant complex to help protect skin from free radicals caused by UV rays
  • Water-resistant (80 minutes)
  • Formulated and rigorously tested for skin tolerance, even on sensitive skin

What do I think about it?

Believe me, my hormonal acne not giving me a reason to relax and live carefree life for the last 3 years. I always have to worry about applying my acne treatment creams before I hit the bed no matter how exhausted I feel.

On top of it, taking care of acne/sun dark spots and saving my skin from UV rays double up my work. Now choosing SPF was a tough row to hoe.

Initially, I started using Neuneutrogena which was just doing fine but after some time, it used to make my face oily (sometimes very oily). Also, I observe, it leaves a white cast on the face and that’s what I thought SPF was supposed to do at that time.

But La Roche-Posay Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF 60 is totally a game-changer.

Just to get a broader picture of the product, you can see a video from one of my youtube shorts.

It feels so good and lightweight after application. A gentle quick-absorbing cream is heavenly great. Lather it up without any hesitation. Your acne-prone face is in safe hands. It does not cause breakouts, or make skin oily. The best part it does not leave any white cast. After applying, it dissolves in the skin like a dream, no more disco ball face.

I highly recommend it for oily skin because it is fantastic for removing oil from the skin, leaving it feeling dry, and preventing shine.

Also, it is a fragrance-free & OXYBENZONE-FREE product, and I believe it will suit all skin types. For more details, I would suggest checking the details on the company website for more information as here I would like to share my thoughts from the customer standpoint.

Being an honest blogger, I would like to mention that I have not noticed a significant change in my skin appearance.

But definitely, I am comfortable now wearing SPF with more confidence. That’s the reason I think it’s the No.1 SPF for me (Until now). I wear it every day without fail and the results are stunning even during hot/humid days. Great sun protection with no greasy residue.

Their formula is indeed distinctive comparing other brands. When you dispense the product, it looks like other SPF but the moment you blend it onto your skin. It blends like light whip cream.

I am sure there may be other great SPF out there in the market but I suppose La Roche-Posay Dry Touch Sunscreen is one of the most beautiful sunscreens I have ever come across.

Its retail price is under $35 to $40 (USD) for 150 mil/ 5.0 Fl oz.

Final Thoughts

I highly recommend La Roche-Posay Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF 60 for acne-prone or oily skin types. This is a quick-absorbing SPF that leaves no shine and gives a dry touch to the face. Very comfortable to wear and has no white cast effect after application.

If you are already using this SPF then please let me know if it’s working for you.

Thank you so much for stopping by and reading my post.

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask Review

Due to its alleged benefits, charcoal face masks are currently a hot topic among skincare lovers and beauty vloggers. The main component, activated charcoal, which is well recognized for its purifying qualities, they have a dark tint. Masks with charcoal work well to treat oily skin and get rid of dirt.

I have also reviewed Origins GINZING Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff. It is also a great product from Origins.

Why did I buy a $28 (USD) mask?

The internet is still flooded with Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask reviews.  I observed that many of them had a terrific experience even after having acne-prone skin and breakouts. So much of a good talk, I found it very intriguing otherwise I would have never thought of buying it. You might have read several times that I am a victim of hormonal acne for over the past 2 years that not saying “goodbye” . That’s the reason I thought this could at least be helpful to keep acne at bay and save my face by clearing gunk or impurities caused by dirt and pollution.

Charcoal masks seem to have gotten a lot of attention for their benefits. They say it helps remove impurities and make your pores look clearer and smaller.

I wanted to get rid of skin care products that are not helping me anymore or reduce or balance my acne-prone skin. The Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask showed me a ray of hope and it was the moment I had to shake hands with this mask.

What does Charcoal Mask do?

When the mask is cleansed, the impurities are gone because the charcoal particles in these masks absorb excess oil and draw out dirt and filth from pores. In addition, the mild coarseness of the charcoal particles gently exfoliates the skin by removing dead skin cells. Skin that is thoroughly cleansed, supple, and renewed is the end result.

The large surface area of charcoal particles and their propensity to chemically bind with other substances and that’s its special features. The actual charcoal particles are often well tolerated and infrequently cause issues.

How often do I use it?

It is recommended to use it on makeup-free skin, open pores with a warm, moist towel, and layer a mask. Allow to dry and rinse. Use once a week or as often as needed.

I use it once a week or sometimes twice a week after cleansing my face. Sometimes use it alternate weeks after face massage with a homemade recipe.

What it does.

As the company claims, it is Formulated with Bamboo Charcoal & White China Clay, this charcoal mask acts like a magnet to deep clean & draw out deep-dwelling pore-cloggers, impurities & debris.

The formula is without.

As the company claims, Parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), mineral oil, petrolatum, paraffin, diethanolamine (DEA), polyethylene beads.

Why do I like it?

Years after the quest for the right face mask, I am going to settle with Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask. However, there is a little drawback as this product is pricey and costs $28 (USD) for just 2.5 fl. Oz.

Being said that, you don’t need a lot of product to apply a layer on your face, comparatively for a single application. It is so soft, smooth, and sort of gooey. On top of it, very easy to spread. The formula is awesome that gives a feather-soft feeling after the wash. So far, this one is the second charcoal mask I have tried. Trust me, I am being very honest when I say that this is the best charcoal masque that really works.

It gives a feeling of clean and clear face just after single application.

Quite a fantastic mask. It does not at all dry out your skin, which is uncommon for a mask of this kind. I can say it is suitable for all skin types except sensitive skin as it might give a burning sensation.

After rinsing the mask off, the texture of the skin becomes soft and supple. The effect is very spurring. I am going to repurchase this mask in the future.

Honestly, I did not see a huge difference in the appearance of the pores or a fading of the dark spots. However, result is phenomenal. My greasy t-zone was matte with no shine at all. The mask had worked as a massive sponge, sucking out all the blockage material and extra oil with it.

I have been using this for the last 3 months and it did not cause any breakout or any skin issues. I am hooked on it and definitely going to buy it again.

So, let me know what is your favorite face mask so far.

Thank you.

Best Makeup Remover Cleansing Balm for all skin types – Clinique’s Take The Day Off Balm

Clinique Take the day off cleansing balm. The best makeup removing cleansing balm suits all skin types. Awarded by Allure Beauty Expert as the best makeup removal product.

Juggling between which product to use or which one is better than the other. On top of it, having acne-prone skin or fighting acne-related issues makes the situation worst. It is very hard to choose the products, especially when buying skincare products. Believe me, I always step into others’ shoes when I write such posts.

Hence, I can say out loud that this is the best cleansing balm I have ever tried. So gentle on your skin. I have tried a couple of other drugstore brands and a few from high-end. But Clinique’s Take the Day Off cleansing balm stands apart. Once you incorporate it into your makeup removal ritual, you will forget about its price. Would love to keep a backup in case of emergency.

In the beginning, I was a bit skeptical if this makeup removing balm will work to its hype. I started using Clinique Take the day off cleansing balm when I was breaking out badly. I was using minimum makeup at that time and did not want to use any harsh makeup removal wipes either. Eventually, ended up using it more often than the other products I owe.

What makes it a bestseller?

Clinique Take the day off cleansing balm dissolves long-wearing makeup in a minute. The best part is, that it is suitable for all skin types. Every skin type. It will never let you down except for people who have very-very sensitive skin and needs doctors’ attention.

The formula is Non-comedogenic, Non-greasy, Non-drying, and Fragrance-free. Lightweight makeup remover dissolves stubborn eye and facial makeups, as well as sunscreens, swiftly. When applied, it transforms from a firm balm to a silky oil. It cleans deeply and completely. Helps skin seem younger and longer by gently removing the stress of pollutants.

As stated on Clinique’s website, the key ingredients are Safflower seed oil.

This natural emollient is high in linoleic acid and leaves skin feeling soft and nourished. It effectively breaks up natural oils on the face and dissolves difficult-to-remove makeup.

In my opinion, yes it indeed does what it says. The silky formula just melts down the makeup on your face into some luxurious emollient balm. Leaving skin very soft and clean.

If you want to see a demonstration, kindly click on the YouTube- shorts link below. If you like it then you can support my channel and subscribe to it.

Also, I must admit that price-wise, it is expensive and probably for many of us (including me) cannot always be an affordable option spending USD 36 for 3.8 oz. / 125 ml.

But it’s the winner cannot debate on price.

Final Thoughts

Clinique Take the day off makeup removing cleansing balm is an amazing product. It is gentle yet very effective and breaks down the makeup and for that, you just need to massage the balm into dry skin with your fingertips. Voila! Your face is clean and makeup free. As I have mentioned earlier this would be the most recommendable product for acne-prone skin. Give it a try!

“First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream” My Genuine Review

A cream that has Oatmeal, no Parabens, harsh chemicals, or Colorants, and the bonus point is, it has a very mild fragrance. And safe for sensitive skin.

Before I start writing, I would say it is safe to use on acne-prone skin unless otherwise directed. As I never forget to mention, I have had acne issues for over two years and I try to be very selective when it comes to applying directly on my face. So this First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream has proven to be a game-changer. Similarly, I would recommend The Best Hyaluronic Acid face cream by Fresh. And let me know what do you think about it.

Why I recommend it?

First Aid Beauty brand is one of the best brands in the skincare that I have come across recently. Of course, I can recommend other moisturizers as well that I have loved in the past. But why am I overreacting this time? The answer is simple, First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream has made up with such a great formula that it won’t let you down if you are struggling with Acne, Eczema, Dry Skin, Dehydrated skin, etc. So in short, it is a versatile moisturizer.

Speaking of Formula, it has quite a rich texture yet is comfortable and easily blendable. Surprisingly, the formula offers excellent hydration without giving that annoying oily feeling. On top of it, works great under makeup (Especially in Winter).

Being a first-time user of “First Aid Beauty” products, I never imagined that I will fall for it. Here I am trying to validate my opinion by its price point. But we will talk about it in the end.

First Aid Beauty claims that Award-winning Ultra Repair Cream is instantly absorbed for immediate relief for parched skin. Suitable for all skin types, even sensitive, and the whole family. Formulated with colloidal oatmeal, this soothing moisturizer leaves your skin feeling smooth, hydrated, and comfortable after just a single-use. Suitable for Normal, Dry, and Combination skin type and can be used for Dryness, Fine Lines and Wrinkles, and Redness skin concerns. So it seems every person is getting benefits from it instead of buying cream for targeted areas.

Intense Rich Cream is so recommendable to people who are looking for the right powerful cream for their dry skin issues.

Just to mention that I ordered the two best seller moisturizers from Sephora. One is from IT cosmetics and another one is First Aid Beauty. Believe me, I stopped using IT cosmetics moisturizer after using this one. I hope, now you can imagine the potential of First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream and why I am so glued to it.

Price Point

Yeah! totally agree that this one is pretty much expensive cream costs $46 (USD) for 8oz/226g. Honestly, even I wouldn’t buy it unless I get any discount or special offer. Bingo! I ordered it in the last year December 2021 black Friday deal for 50% off.

So if somebody asks me to recommend the best moisturizer for dry or combination skin? I would say “First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream” without blinking my eyes. Believe me, you won’t regret it.

Final Thoughts

I would say, First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream is the most recommendable moisturizer for my friends who are desperately looking for a remedy to overcome the dryness issue.

If you try (in the future) or have already tried, let me know what do you think about the product.

Thank you so much!

Namaste!

The best Hyaluronic Acid face cream for all skin types by fresh

Sometimes it becomes a confusing task to decide on creams, especially moisturizers that contain Hyaluronic Acid. This is the reason I always prefer to read reviews before buying anything. I hope this blog will help you and give you some idea if it is worth buying a product.

So let’s jump into it.

I remember, six months ago I was looking for a moisturizing cream that will get along with my acne-medicated cream routine. So, again after reading good reviews on Sephora, I decided to splurge on it.

This brand advertises it with the caption “Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Moisturizer”. And indeed it smells like a bouquet full of roses and for people who really love to inhale the rosy fragrance, it will be their holy grail cream. That being said, it is not very long-lasting so people who do not appreciate it can also buy it.

Nowadays, “Hyaluronic Acid” is the highly emphasized word being used by the skincare industry, and even reading it on the label seems quite appealing.

As mentioned by cosmedica skincare, “Hyaluronic acid is truly an ingredient that gives benefits to twenty and eighty-year-old skin. Hyaluronic Acid helps reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles retaining moisture to the skin, creating a plumping effect. When the skin is protected and hydrated, increased skin cell production can take place, as the skin isn’t busy fighting for hydration. This leads to smoother, plumper skin cells” (n.d., para. 20).

Now, what do I think about it?

Frankly speaking, for about 2 years I had been using Clinique moisturizer. But I really wanted to change it as it was making my skin oily. Sometimes, our skin needs something different than what we expect.

As stated earlier, after using Clinique moisturizer for a very long time, accepting this new addition into the routine skincare regimen I was a bit hesitant. The “fresh Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Moisturizer” is quite thicker than other cream base or gel base formulas. Of course, gel base creams are very light and quick absorbing. So if I talk about this, it is not a very fast absorbing cream. However, you will need a very little amount to hydrate the skin. The formula is thicker and it will take a time to blend in so do not expect a featherweight feel (in my opinion).

As long as its performance is concerned, I am glad that it never made my acne worst or irritated my skin. It’s indeed a very hydrating formula that has the ability to quench the thirst of dry skin. Being said that, I am lately experiencing dryness as winter is getting at its peak here in Texas. Since my skin type is Normal in winter and the combination type in Summer. Hence, sometimes, I need to apply it 3 times but not every day. Otherwise “Hyaluronic Acid” serves its purpose being a main ingredient in the cream. It offers soft and supple skin, and better hydration by locking it to create a barrier. This part is really fascinating. I have never experienced any moisturizing cream like this that provides good strength and locks the skin to retain hydration as it is.

Overall its performance is top-notch, it works best under makeup, even in hot summer. A portion of great hydrating food for dry skin as well as the best companion for dull skin.

I use it in the morning and at night, (but sometimes in the afternoon in the winter season). Usually, First I use my Lancome serum, Curology acne treatment, and then moisturizer. Every morning I see great skin that is actually plumped with hydration. Indeed fascinating!

It is without parabens.

What I don’t like about it?

In my opinion, the recipe of cream is more on a thicker side. Being said that, in summer I feel a little bit of extra oiliness. The exact opposite, in winter I feel dryness. I genuinely think the formula should be lightweight by thinning it to make an easily blendable cream, Viz. IT cosmetics moisturizer confidence in cream, just to compare if that makes sense.

My Recommendations:

Yeah! it is quite pricey. You get 1.6 oz/ 50 mL of jar for $45 (USD). But I would suggest always keeping your eyes open for discounts. There are high chances you will hit the jackpot in the new year.

Yes, I will recommend this product, especially to those who have dry skin. It is the best option and on top, it does not cause acne. So yes you can embrace it with all the love.

Thank you so much for reading it. See you with some new other posts and reviews.

Namaste.

My staple skin food is”Aloe-Vera” Gel

Healthy skin and good health, are prime goals we set and try to accomplish in our life. When thinking about natural remedies first thing that comes to mind is Aloe Vera. Surprisingly, it is a very popular plant in the world. East or west, people have recognized its Supreme power & its importance.

Photo by Cintia Siqueira on Pexels.com

It is always recommendable to use natural products for our skin as well as for our health. Why? because we know, our mother earth offers the purest form of life, so be it a succulent plant like a Cactus or a supreme plant like an Aloe Vera. By the way, Aloe vera is a distinct species of succulent plant.

Despite knowing its characteristics & benefits, I was staying away from it for no reason. Yes! perhaps it is an easily available plant or product, and I was chasing around expensive products in the market for quick solutions.

Unfortunately, I have been facing acne issues for the last 2 years and no matter what I use, the acne issue rises again after endless trials. So in my story, Aloe vera was a game-changer, not in terms of curing my acne but for giving a relief from irritation and inflammation.

This is the reason, here I am going to explain how Aloe vera helps me in my day-to-day routine.

First, it is an excellent remedy for irritated skin. After shaving my face or cleaning my upper lip. Since my skin has become sensitive nowadays and reacts badly even to face shaving or threading. I immediately apply the Aloe Vera gel to the affected area. Instantly, it gives me a soothing & cooling effect.

I use it as an under-eye moisturizer. Yes! you heard me right. I have tried some other brands but so far I get this cooling effect only by applying Aloe vera gel. Instantly, it gives me soft and healthy undereye skin, but then don’t forget to wash it off, or else it might get into the eye causing burning or itchy eyes.

Further, I also like to use it after removing makeup & cleansing my face. I apply it and let it sit on my skin for 10-15 min then rinse it with water. This way, I try to get an extra level of hydration, and the end result is satisfactory.

Since I have already mentioned my acne issue earlier. I have been using Aloe-vera gel for the last two years and I believe it is supporting me to fight against acne (not solely). Whenever I apply it, every day it gives me another reason to use it. Meaning, the irritated & inflamed acne gets a dose of icy effect. Subsequently, its phenomenal soothing property makes my skin sip some gel and calm down my angry & irritated face a bit.

Acne or no acne, this wonderous & all-purpose plant is just outstanding. Just give it a try if you haven’t already.

It is indeed a miraculous plant with so many benefits.

Let me know how you use Aloe-vera in your daily life.

Thank you!

SPF with or without Oxybenzone? Which one is safer and better?

Photo by Moose Photos on Pexels.com

Oxybenzone is the most common ingredient found in 70% of all sunscreens and personal care products.

Now, what really made me think about its ingredients? Well, when I eagerly wanted to change my old sunscreen because it was so strong that I could taste it all the time in my mouth. Of course, it is bitter in taste!. Don’t know about you but for me, its unforgiving flavor was giving me a very hard time to wear a face mask and was utterly inconvenient for me to continue with it.

So, my quest for better sun protection started at Target store. I never knew or for that matter never tried to understand what is in my SPF as long as it was protecting me from UV rays. And when I saw these labels on Neutrogena sunscreen I was like what the heck is this?. Does it mean I was using unsafe sunscreen on my skin all these years?

So today let’s talk about what is Oxybenzone and why companies are advertising their sun protection products as “Oxybenzone Free”.

What is Oxybenzone?

Oxybenzone works as a sunscreen by absorbing UV radiation. During this process, a chemical reaction occurs and the sun’s UV rays are converted into heat and released from the skin.

Is Oxybenzone safe?

Scientists and Researchers have been showing concern about oxybenzone in particular because it is absorbed through the skin in large amounts.

Oxybenzone causes allergic skin reactions, act like as an endocrine disruptor in many studies. These disruptions can cause cancerous tumors, birth defects, and other developmental disorders.

Some studies show Oxybenzone is a “potential hormone disruptor” when tested on animals. They have enough evidence that proved it disrupts hormones in animals. But it has not yet tested on humans for various reasons until now.

Believe it or not, Oxybenzone could be more harmful to children than adults because of the potential for higher absorption.

But just because there are still a lot of test results flagged it does not support its direct relation to human health according to other researchers. Simultaneously, several other (Countries) studies & surveys conducted, Oxybenzone is very dangerous statistically significant associations between oxybenzone exposure during pregnancy and birth outcomes.

As a result, it is still controversial issue & researchers are investigating more as hard as they can to save the human as well as our planet .

FDA is requesting to conduct detailed study & research on Oxybenzone (and other chemicals )which may pose a threat to humans that measure skin absorption as well as potential impacts on hormone levels, reproduction, and development.

As to express full cooperation & compliance to their studies, companies sell their products with “Oxybenzone free” labels. Nonetheless, SPF contains other chemical elements like Homosalate, Octocrylene etc.

What are the different types of sunscreen?

Sunscreens are categorized into two types Physical (minerals) & chemical.

Physical sunscreens are mineral one which contains active ingredients like Zinc Oxide & Titanium Dioxide. Mineral sunscreens act as a physical barrier on top of your skin, reflecting the sun’s rays away from your body. They are known as safe minerals.

Chemical sunscreens have active ingredients like oxybenzone, octinoxate, homosalate, and octocrylene. It contains synthetic compounds which absorb the UV light before it reaches your skin. They are known as toxic chemicals.

Why sunscreen is bad for the ocean?

So eventually all sunscreens can be bad for Ocean’s marine life except a very few which has natural elements along with less concentrated active ingredients like Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide. It is recommendable to use micro-sized (or non-nano) mineral sunscreens to avoid nanoparticles as its smaller particles can make ocean water biologically toxic.

On the other hand, SPF containing oxybenzone, octinoxate, homosalate, and octocrylene with other ingredients like Parabens, any nanoparticles, or “nano-sized” zinc or titanium, etc basically are known to toxic & harmful to corals.

Along with a global warming these chemicals give us one more reason to sabotage marine (coral) life and to kill it.

What can I do to save the ocean and to protect my skin?

My conclusion is yes I can of course contribute to save marine life. Simple whenever I am not going near the water or swimming I can use the sunscreens Zinc Oxide & Titanium Dioxide.

If I really want to hit the beach or in mood of snorkeling I would definitely try to find out SPF which does not contains following list of ingredients:

  • Oxybenzone
  • Octinoxate
  • Octocrylene
  • Homosalate
  • 4-methylbenzylidene camphor
  • PABA
  • Parabens
  • Triclosan
  • Any nanoparticles or “nano-sized” zinc or titanium (if it doesn’t explicitly say “micro-sized” or “non-nano” and it can rub in, it’s probably nano-sized)
  • Any form of microplastic, such as “exfoliating beads”

Important : I am no expert. All the above information isn’t personally verified but read and studied with the help of material found on google resources. For more detailed information I would suggest to read guidelines mention by FDA & AAD (American Academy of Dermatology association) regarding SPF/Sunscreens and its active ingredients.

Kindly let me know what do you think about this blog and would appreciate if you guys could contribute (rectify info if any) to this post regarding “Octinoxate free” or “Marin life safe” sunscreen.

Thank you so much!

What I think about 24K Gold Facial mask?

I remember when I was a teenager, I used to accompany my older sisters or my cousins to the salon and those ladies would suggest Pearl or Golden facial. Mainly if she is a “bride to be” , then it’s compulsory to get the Golden facial done so that bride will look more radiant and brighter on Big day. Now, I really do not know if it is true. However, for the past many centuries using Gold (Extract/foil) in skincare has been a regular practice, even “Cleopatra” was a fan of it. So one day I thought let’s try some Gold mask and see if it really makes any difference in skin texture.

There are tons of different varieties of masks available in the market. I like to use clay masks and have been using it for many years but I stay away from single pouch/sachet masks. I am actually a little bit skeptical about it so never tried any masks except maybe 1 or 2 in my life, though I would like to try some in the future.

Anyway, for the first time, I had ordered something by keeping my preferences aside and was very curious to know if it indeed works.

I am not an expert but so far what know about Gold, is best known for its anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties So, I have been using this for over a year now. I use it after cleansing or exfoliating my face. It comes with a very small spatula to scoop up the product out of the jar without any mess. I apply a thin layer and keep it for 20 min. Then I gently massage the face while rinsing it with warm water. This mask gives me an instant glow. It makes my skin very soft like satin silk. Apparently, the skin is well hydrated and moisturized. Its silky formula looks so luxurious and promising, that it will convince you to add it to your not daily but weekly skincare routine. For me, I feel like getting a spa treatment at home.

Suitable for all skin types. For reference, my skin type is Normal/combination with oily T-zone and not very sensitive. Acne-prone skin, not so sure if it will work for you as I think it has a tendency of leaving some sort of oily/rich moisturizing effect on the skin. It might make your skin more oily which is the last thing you would expect from Gold mask or can cause a breakout. Again, it depends on how you want to incorporate this mask into your beauty regimen. Quantity wise, it is good and will last longer than you imagine..so it is a win-win situation for you and your pocket as well.

You can see the constancy of the formula below in the picture.

I ordered this mask from Amazon last year and don’t remember the price but I guess it was below $20(USD).

Ingredients : Purified water, Butyl glycol, Silk Amino Acids, Ceramides, Codium Tomentosum Extracts, Hydrolyzed Collagen, LEONTOPODIUM ALPINUM Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, , P-glucan, PORTULACA OLERACEA extract, shea butter, Cereus Grandiflorus extract, Arnica Montana flower extract, sodium hyaluronate, polyglutamic acid, tocopherol (Vitamin E), xanthan gum, allantoin, 24K Gold

I like this mask but not a “must try” product as I did not notice any long term or permanent significant change in my skin tone.

Thank you!

Namaste!

P.S. – I have had been using this Mask for quite a long time before my face started to break out. For the last 3-4 months, I have been fighting with hormonal acne problems. After trying OTC treatments, now finally I am using the “Curology” customized treatment plan. Results are awaited !

Favorite body wash from “Bath & body works”, for him as well!

Hello my friends !

“Bath and body works” store is all about fragrance! As soon as I enter, I totally lose control over myself!!.. I literally want to smell every product present in the store and yes including Men’s collection too… Eventually got my hands on it!

And fun part is, not only during Christmas but whenever I go to mall, part of me always want to see what’s new in store. It is so exciting task!! yay!…. but everything glitters ain’t gold likewise every fragrance can not be pleasant…..so exceptions are always there as sometimes I think some of them have very overpowering fragrance and it gives me an instant headache!!

I can not buy everything at once(of course not ) but it is a gradual process of trying out products that feel good and love throughout a year. So this post is all about sharing my take on these fragrance full products.

from left “into the night” for woman and center “forest” & right “ocean’ from men’s collection
“Into the night” from Woman’s collection

Such a romantic name ….wow! Just love it!….. Ok about this one… I have a very special thing about it… because I have tried their couple of body wash fragrances and I always come back to this….they have such a huge collection of body wash and body cream…but I found creams are not that moisturizing as they claim…I mean I even tried a few of them… apparently, their creams do not do any wonder…no at least not for me! however, I keep hand cream which comes in a small tube and very handy! Anyway, Let’s not deviate from the topic…So come back…(He hehe )…I always enjoy taking shower when I see my best body wash in the bathroom caddy. Their all moisturizing body wash products are super creamy with a rich lather. The fragrance is very feminine and it has been described as a “blend of dark berries, midnight jasmine & rich amber”. So if you wish grab one or gift one!

Key ingredients – Infused with shea butter, coconut oil & cocoa butter.

Price – $13.50 (USD) for 10 fl/oz

3-in-1 hair, body wash from men’s collection

Amazing fragrance and little goes a long way…absolutely stunning. My hubby loves this collection. But don’t go overboard with it..you might get a feeling as if used whole bottle in one wash…yeah! It is very strong. So “Forest” has been described as “A crisp blend of bergamot, sage & crushed cedarwood” so marvelous fragrance. “Ocean” is “An invigorating blend of blue cypress, vetiver & coastal air”.Both are super refreshing. Even though it says 3-in-1, I am not sure if you can use it for hair and face so the choice is yours. Everybody’s opinion on this would be different so see what suits you best!

Key ingredients – Vitamin E, shea butter and aloe.

Price – $14.50 (USD) for 10 fl/oz

These products are super fun to try and at the same time very wonderful to gift somebody. I am sure he/she is going to adore it. I would give it 5 stars and yes! would recommend to friend & family !

Lancôme ROSE SORBET CRYO-MASK $39(USD). Does it really work?

Hello Guys!!!

How are you all? Hopefully, everything is going great at your end… Today I am here to review a very unique Cryo- mask by Lancôme so “1..2..3… eyes on me.”!!

This time I wanted to try something to get rid of enlarged pores which are not that large but when I see my face is going through some really bad acne (breakout) from past three/four months and kind of leaves unwanted nasty black spots followed with some pores, as a result, skin does not look smooth as it was before. Irrespective of skin color, everybody wants that flawless canvas and radiant face …. So me striving to get my skin better and to minimize the appearance of pores.

They say(Lancome), its pore minimizer and glow booster…so let’s see what it is!! I am going to write my honest review and experience after using this mask for about 1 month! Again it varies from person to person so no hard feelings!

Let’s see what is it? Why Lancôme invented this Sorbet cryo-mask.

A five-minute cooling face mask that instantly re-energizes skin and reveals a rosy glow as it works to tighten pores, smooth skin texture and even skin tone. stated by Lancôme on its website.

When to use it? 1.Cleanse 2.Prepare 3.Active 4.treat(Apply mask) 5.Target

How to Apply? Apply the face mask by gently patting a generous layer on a clean face. After 5 minutes, rinse off with warm water.

How I use it? 1.Cleanse 2.Apply this mask 3.Toner 4.Serum 5.Moisturizer and final step, I use my acne spot treatment cream. I am not sure if this is the correct method to use this mask. But I suppose it should so I continue the way I like it instead of scratching my head and think about what they say. However, I strongly think the end result should be the same.

It has been over a month now since I have started using the product and I can see that mask is becoming my best buddy. Why? because it gives that extraordinary cooling effect on the skin..just calm, relaxing and soothing!!! It has a wonderful rosy smell, not overpowering which I love the most… Sometimes I just open the jar to inhale the rosy scent….quickly freshen up my mood n mind.

It is actually a decent, very different product that gives instant freshness and glow!!!! Yes! the unique formula makes it a very special mask …so its texture! It is a pink sorbet with a matte finish. You can check the texture below.

But at the same time, I doubt it works as a pore tightening mask, apart from its mind-blowing texture and scent! For me…it does not do its job of minimizing pores!! I did not see any improvements instead when I remove it, I feel my skin has some kind of rawness as if a layer or film has built up on face… It does not feel hydrated or for that matter moisturized!!! I get it, its mattifying mask but then it fails to serve its purpose and does not make skin smooth & supple.

For me, after using this mask for 4 weeks…It did not change my skin texture, with no significant changes. I am not at all happy with this mask except for its cooling effect which is the best part and I enjoy it…and yes I would see if I can get this product at discounted price so that I can use it as a cooling mask to calm down my irritated skin caused by acne. Otherwise, it works like any other drug store mask. Before you buy, make sure you try a sample or trial size pack. I would not recommend it to my friends who are looking for a serious pore-minimizer/tightening mask.

I would give it 2 stars!
