You must know why Tarte magnetic palette is not suitable for Mac pro-refill pans.

Tarte custom magnetic palette

I was happy when I ordered Tarte custom magnetic palette so that I can transfer some of the MAC’s refill pans and blushes to it. Before that, I owned just a MAC Pro Palette Compact that beautifully accommodates their single eye shadow and blush refill pan inserts with no issues.

But the space in the palette was so occupied that some of my eye-shadow pans literally bend from the side due to inconsistent placement of blush and eye shadow pans together including one or two from other brands. I could see that the poor thing was already exhausted and was overcrowded.

PRO PALETTE LARGE / SINGLE (COMPACT)

Initially, I intended to buy one more MAC Pro Palette Compact as I was happy with the quality and it was surely a place for all. But I saw Tarte’s magnetic palette on sale and I instantly added it to the cart and placed the order.

I never gave so much importance to other details and hence never thought about how a Tarte’s magnetic palette will work for refill pans that have already Magnet attached at the bottom of it.

You see, MAC refill pans are made of steel and so they provide a tiny magnet glued to them. That’s the reason it can easily accommodate their inserts in their company-made customizable palettes. Now here is the catch, those are surely no magnetic pallets but just cases made up of metal surfaces to attract and embrace the attached magnet of the refill pans.

Left is MAC Pro refill pan eye shadow and right is ABH eye shadow refill pan

Now, Tarte magnetic palette is indeed a “Magnetic Palette” that holds the metal pans beautifully. As I can say, the refill pan from ABH (Anastasia Beverly Hills) is made with metal and stuck to a palette as if they are made for each other. On the contrary, MAC inserts fell apart and so did not make any sense to even try to fit those into it.

I did not play with Mac inserts or tried to detach the piece of magnet of it. As it was mere waste of time that could have caused damage to those tiny pans.

If the refill pan inserts are glued to the tiny piece of a magnet then make sure you simply buy a customizable palette that is non-magnetic (has metal surface). As we all know “The opposite poles of two magnets will attract one another when they are brought together, but the same poles will repel one another”. Now, who knows which is the North or South pole of the magnet when we buy such items.

So, finally, I would like to conclude my post here.

As mentioned earlier, make sure you check what kind of refill pans you have and accordingly buy the one which is suitable.

If you have MAC refill pans then it would be recommendable to buy their pro refill palettes only.

If you have pans that have no attached piece of a magnet at the bottom of them then probably Tarte’s palettes would be suitable for them.

I wish I had known this before. Perhaps I missed the point and could not understand the technicality of it. Anyway, guys, I am glad Tarte’s custom magnetic palette open my eyes and made me think over some basic points before buying any random custom palettes.

I hope you find this post helpful and understand why Tarte’s magnetic palette is not useful for Mac pro-refill pans? Or for any of their Inserts.

This was my experience.

Let me know in the comment below if you think this is a helpful post.

Thank you so much.

A great hair tool for all hair types Revlon Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer

Let’s have a big round of applause for Revlon Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer. One of the best-sellers and revolutionary blow dry brush you’ll find in the drugstore aisles. This magical brush will save tons of money on blowout sessions if you are frequently visiting salons just for blowouts. It does work perfectly. Best for all hair types. Especially a great tool to manage coarse, frizzy, and thick hair.

I have been struggling to manage my hair since my college days.  I still remember my frizzy hair was untamable so I never tried anything expensive. That said, I never thought of looking like a Bollywood diva either.  But staring at others’ hair beauty was the only thing I did in college, never gave much importance to how I looked.

Funny thing is, I and my friend used to stop by near a drinking water station whenever possible during breaks and place a hand under the tap water and swipe it across the crown to make stubborn frizzy hair sit tight. Yes! That was a quite silly and momentary solution.

Since I had never seen a tool that is an all-rounder and true to what it says, I was skeptical and was not convinced at first. Even after watching a lot of videos/reviews before buying it. Luckily, I saw a deal on Amazon and bought it at a discounted price. It made me happy to think that even if it does not fulfill my expectations, I won’t feel that bad.

My Personal Experience:

Revlon describes it as a one-step dry and volume styling brush. However, I usually like to use it on dry hair as I feel that way it successfully keeps my hair frizz-free. Otherwise, it’s safe to use on towel-dry hair. I always prefer to use some heat protectant products before styling my hair. Similarly, I don’t feel safe using hot tools on wet/ towel-dry hair unless I am running late for something.

For demonstration purposes, please visit https://youtube.com/shorts/W1TQwHz0otg and you’ll see the end result of the Revlon hair dryer on my coarse and frizzy hair.

The brush is beautifully designed to style every type of hair. A combination of dense bristles and a hot metal wand actually provide a great hold of hair and give an impeccable blowout.

One thing is to consider its weight. First-time users might find it a bit heavy and intimidating to handle and style the hair. But once you get used to it, you will love it every day. For me, it took almost a month to get used to it.

As the name implies, Revlon Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer is a quick way to fix hair unless you really want a professional touch for special events. I have been using the Revlon brush for over a year and it’s still working great.

But don’t forget to comb your hair before styling it as it may increase hair fall or can get tangled up in the brush. Also, do not forget to use a heat protectant as this brush gets really very HOT.

Last but not least, if you don’t have time to style your hair. Instead of using a blow dryer, grab a Revlon brush and just run it through your hair. Voila! You will see almost frizz-free and manageable dry hair in no time.

Final thoughts:

I would request you to watch the video and see how thick, dry, and frizzy hair I have. Revlon Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer is my savior. I would definitely recommend it to my friends. It is one of the best drugstore styling tools available at a reasonable price. It’s indeed a time and money saver for unmanageable and frizzy hair. Please do not forget to use a good heat protectant before using any styling products. This product does what it claims except I think it gives salon-like blowout results on dry hair than using it on towel-dry hair.

So give it a try!

Let me know your experiences if you are already using it.

Thank you.

The best Hyaluronic Acid face cream for all skin types by fresh

Sometimes it becomes a confusing task to decide on creams, especially moisturizers that contain Hyaluronic Acid. This is the reason I always prefer to read reviews before buying anything. I hope this blog will help you and give you some idea if it is worth buying a product.

So let’s jump into it.

I remember, six months ago I was looking for a moisturizing cream that will get along with my acne-medicated cream routine. So, again after reading good reviews on Sephora, I decided to splurge on it.

This brand advertises it with the caption “Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Moisturizer”. And indeed it smells like a bouquet full of roses and for people who really love to inhale the rosy fragrance, it will be their holy grail cream. That being said, it is not very long-lasting so people who do not appreciate it can also buy it.

Nowadays, “Hyaluronic Acid” is the highly emphasized word being used by the skincare industry, and even reading it on the label seems quite appealing.

As mentioned by cosmedica skincare, “Hyaluronic acid is truly an ingredient that gives benefits to twenty and eighty-year-old skin. Hyaluronic Acid helps reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles retaining moisture to the skin, creating a plumping effect. When the skin is protected and hydrated, increased skin cell production can take place, as the skin isn’t busy fighting for hydration. This leads to smoother, plumper skin cells” (n.d., para. 20).

Now, what do I think about it?

Frankly speaking, for about 2 years I had been using Clinique moisturizer. But I really wanted to change it as it was making my skin oily. Sometimes, our skin needs something different than what we expect.

As stated earlier, after using Clinique moisturizer for a very long time, accepting this new addition into the routine skincare regimen I was a bit hesitant. The “fresh Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Moisturizer” is quite thicker than other cream base or gel base formulas. Of course, gel base creams are very light and quick absorbing. So if I talk about this, it is not a very fast absorbing cream. However, you will need a very little amount to hydrate the skin. The formula is thicker and it will take a time to blend in so do not expect a featherweight feel (in my opinion).

As long as its performance is concerned, I am glad that it never made my acne worst or irritated my skin. It’s indeed a very hydrating formula that has the ability to quench the thirst of dry skin. Being said that, I am lately experiencing dryness as winter is getting at its peak here in Texas. Since my skin type is Normal in winter and the combination type in Summer. Hence, sometimes, I need to apply it 3 times but not every day. Otherwise “Hyaluronic Acid” serves its purpose being a main ingredient in the cream. It offers soft and supple skin, and better hydration by locking it to create a barrier. This part is really fascinating. I have never experienced any moisturizing cream like this that provides good strength and locks the skin to retain hydration as it is.

Overall its performance is top-notch, it works best under makeup, even in hot summer. A portion of great hydrating food for dry skin as well as the best companion for dull skin.

I use it in the morning and at night, (but sometimes in the afternoon in the winter season). Usually, First I use my Lancome serum, Curology acne treatment, and then moisturizer. Every morning I see great skin that is actually plumped with hydration. Indeed fascinating!

It is without parabens.

What I don’t like about it?

In my opinion, the recipe of cream is more on a thicker side. Being said that, in summer I feel a little bit of extra oiliness. The exact opposite, in winter I feel dryness. I genuinely think the formula should be lightweight by thinning it to make an easily blendable cream, Viz. IT cosmetics moisturizer confidence in cream, just to compare if that makes sense.

My Recommendations:

Yeah! it is quite pricey. You get 1.6 oz/ 50 mL of jar for $45 (USD). But I would suggest always keeping your eyes open for discounts. There are high chances you will hit the jackpot in the new year.

Yes, I will recommend this product, especially to those who have dry skin. It is the best option and on top, it does not cause acne. So yes you can embrace it with all the love.

Thank you so much for reading it. See you with some new other posts and reviews.

Namaste.
